Accident Reports NJTR1


Please allow 3-5 business days after the accident before you call to check the status of your report. No information from the report will be released until the report is complete and approved.

 

Accident reports can be picked up in person at the Records Bureau window during the business hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:15 p.m., Monday – Friday (except holidays). There is no fee for accident reports when picked up in person.

 

Accident reports are not available via email or fax or mail.

 

Electronic copies of accident reports can be downloaded by visiting www.crashdocs.org. Please note that this site does charge a $5.00 fee to acquire reports. Additionally, reports may not be available on this site immediately after approval by this department, you may need to wait a few days for reports to be uploaded by the vendor.

1.           Select State:  New Jersey

2.           Select an Agency:  Howell Township Police Department

3.           Start Your Search

4.           Enter DATE of accident ONLY

5.           Search Reports

6.           Find case number on left-hand side, then click Download on the right.

 

Self Reporting Accident Form (SR1):

 

The New Jersey Self-Reporting Crash form (SR-1) is used to report a crash that was not investigated by the police and it is the only form that can be used for this purpose. The Howell Township Police Department does not keep these reports on file.
